RASTER references the pixels used to create computer graphics. I use Adobe Photoshop to create posters, backgrounds, textures, and more. Each of these assets is essential in creating an online branding presence.
The gallery contains work created using Photoshop for school and extra curricular projects. They are stepping-stones that also demonstrate necessary graphics used in a social media brand. I have used these posters and backgrounds previously on my own social media; but they are also useful as references of my skill to create graphics.
The following gallalery is dedicated to a personal project created by my dad and myself, called The Gauntlet. The Gauntlet was an event created by my dad, where a number of participants were asked to create a "Top 25 Best Songs by Different Artists" playlist, and then give it a creative name. The participating guests then had to stay up all night to listen to everyones playlists, hence the Gauntlet. The event was later recorded and given a 3 DVD set containing the playlists and extras, which were awarded to the guests.
VECTOR graphics are necessary in branding and marketing to create graphics with multiple purposes. Logos, user interfaces, banners and more. These are necessary to start a brand, the first step to creating your digital footprint.
The graphics in this gallery have been created using Adobe Illustrator CS5 and onward. They are examples of work I have done in both school and other extra-curricular projects. Each project contains different techniques, including the use of gradient meshes to create faux 3D, pathfinder and basic design principals to logos, and more.
The following gallery contains the logo work I have done in my recent past. It includes logos I have made for myself and close friends, as well as for self interest projects. They show the final product version of the logos, with the exception of the logo used for this website, so there could be some variety. The reason I omitted some older logos is that these newer designs better display use of design principals.
VIDEO editing is a new passion of mine. With the emergence of popular video streaming services, it is becoming more important to consider having video content; YouTube uses video trailers to help promote this content.
People who wish to create video content on websites such as YouTube need to consider creating a brand for that as well. One way of doing this is to create a video trailer, which is the supported method on YouTube for new users to figure out what your channel and content are about. I am offering to create an effective video trailer.
This is an example of a YouTube video trailer. Contains some swears and unrefined humour. This was a video trailer I made for friends content, which I also contributed to. What the video is promoting isn't actually specific, which was the point of the channel. The plan was to make a parody "gaming" channel, which would poke fun at other tropes created by other gaming channels, as they were becoming increasingly popular at the time. The "Trailer" portion of the video was taken seriously, even including a date of release, even though the intended audience was just for our group of friends. Even given the non-serious nature of the project, it gave me a lot of opportunities to have fun with After Effects, and create a lot of effects I am still proud of. Please watch the video at your leisure.
This is an school project using After Effects CS5. Contains audio from an interview with strong content. The objective of the project was to create a "text animation" using an audio clip of roughly 30 seconds in length. The clip is from a semi-well known news interview, the meat of which is essentially the reaction of the man being interviewed. To get the best results, I attempted to create as many original text transitions as possible, while attempting to keep the transitions in the theme of the dialogue of the interview. This resulted in a few specific and "taken literally" transitions, such as the park growing branchs, and "snatching" actually stealing the word "up". Hope you enjoy the video; I had fun making it.
